16.08.2010 Lysanda announces record contract win

Lysanda, the provider of advanced technology for vehicle fuel savings, today announced that Isotrak, provider of vehicle tracking solutions, has purchased 10,000 units of a bespoke version of one of Lysanda’s Eco-Log products. Isotrak will deploy the Eco-Log for the benefit of clients including Skanska and Marks & Spencer.

Lysanda custom developed a new variant of the Eco-Log for Isotrak, based on the existing portfolio of Lysanda products, to work seamlessly with Isotrak’s technology and integrate easily into the Isotrak offering.

Eco-Log helps reduce vehicle fleet running costs by providing highly accurate data on fuel consumption and wastage. It accurately measures CO2 emissions by understanding how much fuel fleets use and why. Better fleet monitoring can assist companies in reducing fuel and other vehicle costs. Promoting smarter driving is an easy way for companies to save money and reduce emissions.

When plugged into the vehicle On-Board Diagnostics computer using an industry standard cable, Eco-Log accurately calculates the energy used and emissions produced. This data is processed to provide vehicle trip performance information for: real-time feedback to driver on in-vehicle display; end of trip/ period review by the fleet manager; and periodic management reports. For customers, the ROI is less than one year.

Lysanda Chief Executive, Alex Willard said:

“I am delighted that Isotrak has chosen to work with us to develop a new Eco-Log variant for their clients. Isotrak helps companies save money, improve customer service, reduce their environmental impact and win new business, all by using mobile assets more efficiently and we are delighted to be a part of the solution. Eco-Log is the only real-time, non-invasive solution taking data directly from vehicle’s own computer. Every vehicle and every driver can be monitored, providing an accurate measurement tool for fuel usage and carbon emissions.”

“Fleet efficiency is fundamental to company profitability. Fuel costs are typically 20%-25% of fleet running costs and fuel wastage also suggests higher maintenance costs. Volatile oil prices have put additional focus on fuel efficiency and costs, which have direct impact on profit. Using vehicle engine data, Eco-Log takes fleet management to a new level of sophistication with significant fuel savings.”

Greville Coe, Isotrak Director said:

“This new and powerful technology has been developed by Lysanda to exactly meet Isotrak’s requirements and has been the result of a strategic collaboration between the two companies, enabling us to provide an off the shelf solution for a diverse range of vehicle types, without the need for bespoke development. Combining both GPS and vehicle diagnostic functionality in one device, we are able to supply accurate data capture and delivery across a range of metrics including vehicle location, diagnostics, and driving style.”

“This highly advanced device combined with our sophisticated software applications (Active Transport Management System), enables us to provide an Industry leading technology at a competitive price, which in turn allows our customers to save fuel, save money and reduce vehicle CO2 emissions.”
