Lysanda appoints Alistair Crawford as Chairman
Lysanda, the automotive software developer, has appointed Alistair Crawford as Chairman.
Alistair Crawford has spent his whole career in the Information Technology and Services sector. He was formerly Chief Executive of Psion Plc and on the board of Symbian, the mobile telecoms platform. Previously he was head of LogicaCMG in Europe and Chief Executive of CMG plc.
The Essex-based company has completed the development of its Eco-LogTM system for monitoring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions on vehicle fleets, which is now being rolled out to customers.
Mr Crawford said: “I am delighted to be joining Lysanda at this exciting stage of its development. I am looking forward to working with the team to build a successful business. The transport sector is a growing contributor to CO2 emissions and global warming. Eco-LogTM gives fleet operators a means to cut their fuel bills and reduce their carbon footprint”.
Eco-LogTM is a novel on-board technology which gathers data about the way the vehicle is being driven and how the powertrain is behaving. This information is then transmitted back to the Fleet Manager via a telematics or tracking unit over the mobile data network which can then be used to help manage vehicles and drivers more efficiently.
